obsolete- LUNCH song

so you always wanted to be a watchmaker
i delight in little tendancies anachronistic
they cut me from the same late driftwood
i should have been a cartographer

i often wonder
what will become of us?
the lexicographers the bread-kneaders
the grape stompers& the pistachio shellers

oh, my
boy i
should have been a cartographer
or a watchmaker
lurid is
every substitution; he is
tending towards the anachronistic
endowed with idle douceur
